The association of producers Cacao VRAE, was established on March 25, 2006 on farmers own initiative, as a need for defending fair prices of cocoa and avoid levels of intervention in trading. We are located in the highland jungle (Selva Alta), Eastern Central Zone of the Andes, 430 km South-East of Lima - Peru. Our objective is to improve the quality of life of our associated partners and their families, through organized work with gender equity. Contributing to economic, social and environmental sustainability.
We also focus our efforts to improve educational, economic, social, technical and cultural standards of the 350 cocoa producer partners.
To facilitate cocoa stocking and process, oriented to obtain a high-quality product, 07 production areas duly organized in zonal committees administrating production farms, stocking centers and cocoa benefits, operated by technicians with wide experience, have been established along the Apurímac, Ene and Mantaro Rivers Valley (VRAEM).
